We took the girls to see Santa on Saturday. Victoria sat right on his lap and told him a few things she wanted. She told him the one thing which she has been saying over and over that she wants, which is a phone - go figure. The other things she mostly repeated what Morgan was saying.
Then after we were done, as we were walking away she looked up at me with almost teary eyes and said "where's the presents". Poor thing! We have been telling her about how Santa will bring her presents and so she expected that after she saw him and told him what she wanted that he would give it to her right then and there - LOL. I had to explain that she was just telling him so he knew what she wanted and now he would go back to the North Pole and get the gifts together and bring them to her house on Christmas.
It is so special to "re-experience" the holidays for the first time through her eyes.
Here is the picture (it is scanned, so the quality isn't too great).

Awwwwww! That is a cute story!
ReplyDeleteThis picture is the one that I most see their similarities. It is uncanny! They are so cute.
Yep - they're adorable!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful Santa picture!
ReplyDeleteJaime, I'm Michelle's husband, Brian -- you left a comment on our blog, A Home for Lily, last night. Oddly enough, when we started the adoption process, I did a Google search to find other Ukrainian adoption blogs and yours came up, and I've been reading it since then. I'm very glad to hear things are going well with Victoria -- it sounds like you guys are having a great month.
We've heard nothing but good things about the orphanage from the other families we've talked to, and we can't wait to get there to meet Lily and bring her home.
